Live Server Dashboard: Monitor Your Server from the Browser
Updated March 2026 · 4 min read
No more SSH + htop + df -h + free -m dance. DevToolKit's Server Dashboard connects to your server and shows all metrics in one visual dashboard — CPU, RAM, disk, processes, Docker containers.
What You See
- System info — hostname, OS, kernel, uptime
- CPU — usage percentage, load average, core count
- Memory — used/total with visual bar, swap usage
- Disk — each mount point with usage percentage
- Top processes — PID, user, CPU%, MEM%, command
- Docker containers — name, image, status, ports
How It Works
Enter your SSH credentials → the dashboard connects to your server, runs system commands (top, free, df, docker ps), parses the output, and displays visual charts. Auto-refreshes every 5 seconds.
Use Cases
- Quick health check — is my server okay? One glance.
- Disk space alert — red bar when disk is >90%
- Process debugging — which process is eating CPU?
- Docker overview — all containers status at a glance
- Client reporting — show server status to non-technical stakeholders
vs Traditional Monitoring
- vs Datadog/NewRelic — free, no agent installation, instant
- vs htop — visual, works from any browser, shareable
- vs Grafana — zero setup, no Prometheus needed
